Lenovo K6 Power - Rooting,Unlock bootloader,Install TWRP and use Xposed on Stock Rom

Hello guys,


Lenovo K6 Power k33a42 is a new device released by lenovo on Dec 16, as many of you have bought this phone i would like to share how thisphone can be rooted and how we can install twrp on this phone

UNLOCKING BOOT-LOADER :

Unlocking your Android phones bootloader is the first step to rooting and flashing custom ROMs
WARNING: UNLOCKING YOUR BOOTLOADER VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY.PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK.
NOTE: Unlocking the bootloader will Wipe/ factory reset your device, and will delete all personal data from your device such as apps, photos, messages, and settings.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Download the K33a42_bootloader_unlock.zip and drivers.zip zip archive attached here

2) On your device, turn on USB debugging and allow OEMunlocking
if there is no developer options in settings - go to the " Settings -> Device Info " and click on the item " Build number " until the display shows that " you became a developer
go back to the device's main Settings menu and go to Developer options tick "OEM unlocking " and " USB debugging'
when you connect for the first time using debugging via USB you will need to confirm the RSA fingerprint key to trust the PC

3) Extract the Unlock bootloader zip to any directory

4) Connect the device (K33a42) to a PC via USB-cable.

5. Go to the extracted directory and execute Unlock_Bootloader.bat and expect to complete the unlock process.

after the process is completed the boot loader will be unlocked.


INSTALLING TWRP :

1) Extract the folder TWRP.zip archive to any drive.

2)On your phone, turn on USB debugging (drivers for ADB must be installed).
Connect your phone to a PC via usb-cable

3) You have 2 options either you can try the TWRP (only run one time) or else you can replace the stock recovery with twrp
Use accordingly
run Flash-TWRP.bat (replace stock recovery) or
run Run-TWRP.bat (for one time only).

4) Wait for the phone to boot into TWRP.
You can now disconnect the usb-cord.
Installation is finished.


and also at the starting of the twrp recovery the language will be in Russian because the creator in SevenMaxs from lenovo-forums.ru (I'am looking forward to modify default lang to english)

* In the stock firmware Secure Boot is enabled by default , so any changes made to the system partiton lead to a bootloop. Therefore, when you first start TWRP set the system mode to Read Only ! 

So in order to proceed we need to disable the secure booting in the kernel

Now to disable Secure Boot verification in the boot.img

1. Extract boot.img using twrp backup of boot partition
(you can use android image kitchen for extracting)
2. Make changes in the ramdisk \ default.prop file
change the following line:
ro.secure = 1
to
ro.secure = 0
3. repacked boot.img and flash into the device using twrp.

I know this part may be tough for some uses hence voila i have the secure boot disabled boot image , flash this to boot partition using twrp

ROOTING

Flashing SuperSU zip via TWRP Recovery

Download and transfer the SuperSU-v2.79-201612051815.zip zip file attached here to your device’s storage.

Boot your device into TWRP recovery.

Tap on Install and select the SuperSU zip file that you transferred to your device in Step 1.
After selecting the .zip file, do Swipe to Confirm Flash on the bottom of screen to begin the flashing process.

Once SuperSU is flashed, you’ll get Reboot System option, select it.
Congratulations! Your device should be rooted now. Look for the SuperSU app in app drawer.


INSTALLING XPOSED


1)Install the xposed installer from playstore

2)Open the installer, and tap the ‘Install/Update’ button. Don’t worry if the app seems stuck here; just give it time and it will eventually show you a Superuser request, which you should make sure to grant and click reboot

Almost all the modules should work on stock rom as it is close to Aosp
modules which i can confirm to work are

; Gravitybox
: Bootmanager

Motorola's second generation Moto E received Android Marshmallow in January 2016. It was nothing short of a miracle, as Motorola initially dropped the plans to upgrade the device, despite Moto E (2ndGen) being launched in mid-2015.
Motorola fans who bought the device were fumed over the company's apathy towards the budget devices and criticised the American firm on social media platforms and forced Motorola to release the Marshmallow update to the Moto E (2nd Gen) LTE in January in select regions.
That said, the budget device owner will not be able to ask Motorola again for the official Nougat update, as the phone is no more eligible for new firmware. People who are still hanging on to the Moto E (2nd Gen), fret not. You can still be able to upgrade to the new v7.1.1 mobile through custom ROMs.
We would also like to advise readers that the new Nougat ROM is an experimental firmware and contains a few bugs, and functions are not working. We urge users to go through the entire perquisite and tutorial procedure before going ahead with the CyanogenMod CM 14 ROM installation on Moto E (2nd Gen).Folks at XDA Developer Forum have come up with the CyanogenMod CM 14.1 series custom firmware to bring Nougat features to 2015 series Motorola budget phone.

Prerequisites (things to remember before installing Custom ROM)
  • This new Android v7.1.1 Nougat CyanogenMod [unofficial] CM 14.1 custom ROM has to be installed on Motorola Moto 2 (2nd Gen) – Otus (3G) and Surnia (4G-LTE) models only, if tried on other devices, it might brick them [to check your device model: Go to Settings >> About phone >> model number].
  • Do not Restore any Backup from Android 5.x using any recovery(TWRP etc).It may result in INSTABILITY.
  • Though installing custom ROM improves the device's performance and UI experiences, it makes the company warranty void; the company will no longer be liable to provide updates in future [users can restore warranty by flashing the device with stock-ROM].
  • Make sure the device is rooted before going ahead with custom ROM installation.
  • Installation of custom ROM requires clearing memory in the phone, so make sure to back all the data by installing Clockwork Mod (CWM) Recovery/ TWRP in the smartphone.
  • Make sure USB driver is installed on the PC or else your device (Moto E2) will not be recognised by the computer.
  • Make sure your device has more than 80% battery, or else there is a chance of the smartphone getting temporarily bricked if the installation process is interrupted midway.

Tutorial: Step-by-step installation procedure for download Android v7.1.1 Nougat CyanogenMod [official] CM14.1 custom ROM on Moto E (2nd Gen) via TWRP-
Step 1: DownloadAndroid v7.1.1 Nougat CyanogenMod [unofficial] CM 14.1 custom ROM and Google Apps on to your PC
[Note: downloadable file links are provided at the bottom]
Step 2: Connect Moto E(2nd Gen) to the computer
Step 3: Place the CyanogenMod Android 7.1.1 Nougat into the phone's storage memory
[Note: Users are advised to paste the .zip file in the storage root folder, not in any other folder.]
Step 4: Turn off device and disconnect it from PC
Step 5: Perform Recovery mode sorties by long pressing Volume (Down) + Power buttons
Step 6: Once entering the TWRP settings menu, clear phone's memory (full) by selecting 'Wipe' option. Once done, select – 'Swipe to Factory Reset' perform factory reset
Step 7: Return to TWRP settings and tap 'Install' by the selecting .Zip file in the phone's memory downloaded from PC
Step 8: Come back to TWRP menu setting to approve the installation by tapping 'Swipe to Confirm Flash'
Step 9: Flashing of the custom ROM begins and after few minutes, a message 'Successful' appears on the screen, thus completing installation
Step 10: If faced with boot loop problem, navigate back to TWRP settings, and select 'Wipe cache/dalvik'. This procedure will help resolve any issue with regard to custom ROM installation
